Positively Radiant Skin Brightening Daily Scrub

Aveeno’s Positively Radiant Skin Brightening Daily Scrub’s had a bit of a revamp since the last time we checked out the formula, although it largely remains the same good skincare product that is best for normal to dry skin.

The biggest change with the reformulation is the type of scrub particles being used. The previous version contained plastic (polyethylene) beads that are not environmentally friendly, while this one relies on natural, environmentally-friendly jojoba beads to provide manual exfoliation. Thankfully this didn’t change this from being gentle on skin which is so important for all skin types.

The rest of the formula is pretty standard, containing gentle and effective cleansing agents and a couple of oils to keep skin from feeling tight and dry.

The only issue with this formula is that it includes fragrance towards the end of its ingredient list. While this is a rinse off product, any amount of fragrance still has the potential to irritate the skin, particularly sensitive skin (and Aveeno markets this as being gentle enough for sensitive skin). Otherwise, this is a good, inexpensive scrub.

Note: Aveeno claims this is both noncomedogenic (won’t clog pores) and hypoallergenic. Both terms have no regulatory or scientific meaning and are largely marketing claims that cannot be relied on.

PROS:
